I believe in angels!

Since I was a child, I have a little statue of an angel near my bed. I always called him my guardian angel. I know he protects me. When I am desperate, sad, happy or lonely, I will talk with him. At the beginning of the conversion process, I was curious about the Jewish view about angels.

Well, as I said before, Judaism is good because you can always find someone that will agree with you or an exception rule somewhere.

Most of us are familiar with Moses’ encounter with God at the burning bush. The bush is aflame, but it isn’t burning up. Moses sees an angel in the midst of the fire. And then, God speaks. The angel doesn’t speak. Some people concluded that the angels are like conduit to God and the Divine presence.

Perhaps, more broadly, an angel is whatever moves us closer to an experience of God. Words of a poem, thoughts of a departed loved one, a baby crying: everything that prepares us to experience God is an angel.

After reading this, I will keep my eyes open and actions going because we can act like angels too.
